Responsible for applications systems analysis and programming activities for a group.  Respon-sible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and the establishment and implementation of new or revised applications and programs.  Assists in projecting software and hardware require-ments.  Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports.  Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods.  Consults with personnel in other IS areas to coordinate activities.  Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the development group.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   1.   Directs, manages and maintains systems analysis and programming activities that support a functional area, business line and/or major product and ensures the quality of work per-formed and accuracy of output. 2.   Works with management to identify and prioritize information systems needs and to develop project plans and budgets for approved projects. 3.   Manages information systems projects to meet target date, quality and budget objectives. 4.   Guides and manages staff and project group; answers questions, provides project manage-ment direction and scheduling to meet established project goals. 5.   Coordinates systems development activities with other information systems managers. 6.   Participates in vendor evaluations; recommends and reviews functional and over all system design and technical planning to improve systems productivity and efficiency. 7.   Conducts special projects as requested by  senior management, monitors projects for adherence to security and quality standards and management objectives; keeps management in-formed as to status of project progress and status. 8.   Plans, develops and controls project/product budget. 9.   Recommends hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards and reviews.  Approves employee time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc.  Implements and executes employee relations policies, training programs and various other human resources programs and policies.   Excellent knowledge of information systems technology, especially industry specific applications.  Comprehensive technical and business knowledge of the business unit supported.  Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures.  Excellent analytical, project management, tactical planning and managerial skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Controlled Disbursement - provides bank customers daily Deposit Account balance and transaction reporting services to be utilized in their account funding and investing decision processes. Electronic Data Interchange - provides data transformation services for information sharing and integration to internal applications and external sources. Major Responsibilities:
 

Coordinate and manage fund analysis reports by completing production of all analysis projects, including 401k reviews (current and proposed line-ups), mutual fund analysis, competitor reviews, etc. Manage work flow for daily requests and regular quarterly analysis. Log incoming analysis requests and track outstanding analysis and revise project activity as necessary.  Provide win/loss reports regarding analysis activity including assets acquired, where possible.  (70%)
Maintain current knowledge and application of existing software applications used to build fund analysis and accurately and efficiently apply portfolio templates developed.  (20%).
 Maintain current knowledge of American Century’s investment products, fund availability and appropriate share class usage with client requests.  (5%).
